Viewing Scores
Immediately after logging into Web-Cat, from the Your Web-CAT Home Page menu, you can view scores of student submissions grouped by class assignment by following the three steps below:
Click the View/Modify grades for student submissions link from the list of available tasks to perform.
Click the radio button of the appropriate course and click Next.
Click the radio button of the assignment and click Next. You will now be directed to the View/Edit Grades menu.
For the specific assignment selected in the steps above, you will see a row of information for each student submission; directly above, the low, mean, and high score for the assignment are given. Each row consists of the following column headings:
Done - indicator of grading status.
Name - name of student, give in Last, First format.
Sub No. - chronological order of submission receipt to the Web-CAT Grader for given assignment.
Tool Checks - score of static analysis tool.
TA Scores - score given by TA.
Note: if "<Edit>" appears under this heading, the TA has not yet graded the student's submission (see Viewing and Modifying Scores for Previous Submissions/Modifying Scores).
Early/Late - bonus/deduction for an early or late submission.
Score - overall score of student on the assignment.
Downloading Scores
From the View/Edit Grades menu (see Steps 1-3 from the Viewing Scores section above for navigation questions), you may also download student submission scores as an Excel-compatible .csv file. Before clicking the Download button, consider the following two options in parentheses:
Omit Course Staff -
check this box to output only information of student name and submission score for the assignment--no information on instructor(s);
uncheck this box to output information on student name, submission score, AND instructor(s).
Use Blackboard Format -
check this box to output student scores in Blackboard format--two columns: PID and overall student submission score;
uncheck this box to output additional course information in the first 4 rows, followed by a more detailed breakdown of overall score with several additional column headings similar to those headings given in the Viewing Scores section above.
